The difference between Statistical and Real Posting in SAP

WBS element / Cost Center / Internal Order is a real CO object where as Profit Center is a Statistical? CO Object. All the posting you make to the real object are real postings, parallel statistical posting will be posted to your profit center.

Internal Order is two types of cost object. It can be either Real or Statistical.
