I asked a question about 2 weeks ago, asking what is SAP and what exactly are billing milestones (I knew what they were, i just wondered what others’ perspective were on it). Anyway – I went for 2 interviews and got offered both jobs! So, thanks very much!!

Needed SAP FI Report

I’m trying to find a report in SAP FI that will give me Document Number, G/L Account, Amount and Transaction Code. I can find the first three column in FBL3N transaction but not the transaction code.

Does anyone know of a report that gives this info? I know I can get it from BKPF but our users don’t have access to SE16 transaction.

The solutions are:

You can append additional field to FBL3N via customizing step OBVU transaction.

In OBVU transaction you must add BKPF-TCODE field. Then call SE38 transaction and run RFPOSXEXTEND program.

After these actions, you can select transaction code field in FBL*N reports. – Burak

Execute O7R3 transaction, add field BKPF-TCODE and save. Now, when you execute FBL3N, transaction code will be in the available fields when you try to change the layout. – Srikanth Tamma

Best Tips for a SAP fresher to get a job

The SAP market is a tough market for consultants : You need at least 3 years of relevant SAP experience to get any project.

A SAP fresher (no experience) will not find a job because he is a fresher. So what tip can you give him to find a job ?

Which SAP table of field “EXTENSION1″ of vendor master data?

Use this SAP trick I learned from an ABAPer friend of mine. Has a little of trial and error in it but its really good.

?Open 2 SAP sessions
In session 1, Go to ST05 transaction
Activate Trace
Go to?session 2, access the field which you need to learn what SAP table it is in. Ex. Go to XK02 transaction to view the field. enter data in it.
Go to?session 1, Deactivate Trace
In?session 1, display Trace
Check each SAP table written there in SE11 transaction?and see if your field is in that SAP table.
