I want to know is that what will be the ABAP issues that can come after upgradation.

In upgrade always ABAP programs and reports are effecting. In upgrade on one phase you have to perform SPDD where you will get all standard objects that you have modified earlier and you have to adjust them accordingly.

Then after upgrade a phase will come SPAU where you have to adjust standard programs that you have been modified and you have to adjust them accordingly.

After upgrade it is always recommended to have a through SAP functional testing as lot of changes come from fuctional side as well.

Please go the Service market place and search for the upgrade patches document.

Anyway, If you want to include the SAP patches in upgrade, then download the required support packs for you component and place them in Trans directory.

While runing prepare, it will prompts you for the patches for the upgrade that time you have to select ok then it will search in the /usr/sap/trans directory for the patches and it will recognise the SAP patches.

The SAP error can be fixed with as per suggested in the below SAP note.

Source Release 4.6C and below only: Phase TABIM_UPG

If your source release is based on SAP Basis 4.6C or lower, the upgrade may stop in phase TABIM_UPG. Log files SAPI700TG2. orSAPI700TK2. show the following error message: 2EETW109 table “BSKEYWORD” does not exist in nametab.

To prevent this SAP error, proceed as follows:

1. After PREPARE,before you start the upgrade, go to subdirectory “cofiles” of the upgrade directory.
2. Create / update files with the name A700TG2.SAP and A700TK2.SAP.
3. Open the files and enter exactly the following:

4. Save the file.

To fix this SAP error in phase TABIM_UPG, use the same procedure

Is it possible or not?

For IDES systems upgrade is not recommended by SAP..if you want IDES system on latest release then you have to install new system with latest release…

IDES should only be operated as a seperate installation. Each new release requires a new installation!
We do not recommend to upgrade an existing IDES systems. This is the only way to guarantee the full functionality of a tested demo system!
Customers performing an upgrade nevertheless should open an OSS-ticket to component XX-IDES. A remote connection to the IDES system should be
available in order to give appropriate support! Extended support may be chargeable!

Also as far as relaese for EHP for IDES systems are concerned then current version of IDES ECC 6.0 includes EHP3. and EHP4 will be released in Q2/2009

I had set up the?authdication of DB user host\sidadm as what it descript on the screen. i also tried to excuted the “select VERSION from SVERS” on SQL quarry.but error, only if i excuted the sql like select VERSION from erp.SVERS and it success.(erp is the DB name)

What should?I do to change the authdication of DB use can be able to excute select VERSION from SVERS?

Please do the following Solution:

In SQL Server management console, go to Security -> Logins. You will find one user <SID>adm. In the properties of this user, you make the default database ‘erp’ instead of master. That’s it.

If you want to upgrade your Development envir?nment after refreshing it from production environment.

It is possible. The first step, do the system refresh of your development enviroment from production by system copy method. Please download system copy guide from below link according to your release:

First thing I want to make aware about is you will not be able to change database schema. After copy database schema of DEV environment will also be of production.

Then Steps are:

1) you have to export Java if it is double stack system.
2) database export and other things that you have to follow from SAP guide

also, if you want that after system copy same configuration your DEV system have (configuration means RFC’s, logical systems etc..) then before system copy you have to take backup of these configurations.

after that you have to import Java, restore database and perform other steps..

We are using SAP ECC6.0 version,I am not getting F1 help for anything. I am unable to see the command field to enter the PACKAGE NAME or PROGRAM NAME or FUNCTION GROUP NAME , and etc in the SE80 transaction.

The solution is:

Some of the older SAP versions of SAPGUI do not display F1 help correctly when Internet Explorer 7.0 is installed on the workstation. If you are using an older SAPGUI, you may want to upgrade to the latest version.
